The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has sealed the offices of Ochacho Real Estate and TI’Bilon Construction and Facility Management Company in Abuja over alleged non-compliance with regulatory directives and consumer exploitation.

The commission said the enforcement action followed the companies’ refusal to comply with official notices issued to them regarding housing units owed to consumers who had fully paid for their properties.

According to the FCCPC, several affected buyers were left stranded despite fulfilling their financial obligations to the firms.

The commission stated that the premises of both companies would remain sealed until all outstanding obligations to consumers are fully addressed.

FCCPC said the action was carried out in line with Section 150(4) of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA), 2018, which empowers the agency to take enforcement measures against non-compliant organisations.

The commission reiterated its commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring accountability across the real estate sector.
