Just In: President Tinubu Appoints Segun Aina to Succeed Oloyede as JAMB Registrar

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Segun Aina, a professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, as the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Aina will succeed Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, whose second and final tenure as JAMB registrar is expected to end on July 31, 2026.

The appointment marks a major transition in the leadership of the examination body, which oversees admissions into tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

At 39, Aina is set to become one of the youngest individuals to occupy the position. He is expected to turn 40 in July.
