Makinde-Backed PDP Faction Endorses Turaki to Lead 13-Man Caretaker Committee

The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has formally ratified a 13-member Caretaker Committee to oversee party affairs.

The decision was finalized during the 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Monday.

The motion for the committee’s formation was moved by Edo State PDP Chairman Tony Aziegbemi and seconded by ex-officio member Clement Fagboyede.

The committee is led by Tanimu Turaki (SAN), as Chairman, with Taofeek Arapaja serving as the National Secretary.

Other appointed members include:
* Daniel Ambrose
* Hamza Abuya
* Ihediwa
* Isah Abubakar
* Theophilus Dakashan
* Ini Ememobong
* Aribisala Adewale Idowu
* Baru Shaffi
* Okechukwu Obiechina

Reports indicate that the Makinde camp plans to officially unveil Turaki and his team in the coming days, marking a significant move in the party’s ongoing internal leadership dynamics.
