The House of Representatives has thrown its weight behind President Bola Tinubu’s proposal to secure a $516,333,007 foreign loan aimed at fast-tracking the construction of key sections of the Sokoto-Badagry superhighway.

Lawmakers gave their nod to the borrowing request during Tuesday’s plenary sitting in the Green Chambers.

The approval came immediately after Rep. Abdullahi Rasheed, deputy chairman of the Committee on Aids, Loans and Debt Management, laid a detailed report before the House.
