In a display of rapid turnaround, JAMB has announced that results for Thursday’s UTME candidates of April 16 will be released before midnight tonight, Friday, April 17.

Writing on X, JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin confirmed the timeline and stated that a formal public announcement would follow as soon as the results are live.

“This is to inform all candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on Thursday, 16th April 2026, that their results will be released today before midnight.

“An official announcement will be made to the public and posted on this page as soon as the results are available. Thank you,” Benjamin wrote.

The 2026 UTME, which commenced earlier this week, is scheduled to continue until April 22. The examination is divided into four sessions daily, running from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., a scheduling strategy aimed at accommodating the huge number of participants while minimising overcrowding at examination venues.

Persecondnews recalls that nearly 2.2 million candidates sat for the test this year across 966 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.

Each centre is required to maintain high operational standards, including reliable computer systems, steady internet connection, uninterrupted power supply, and well-trained staff to ensure a smooth process.
