77

Tragedy struck Kogi State Polytechnic on Thursday, March 26, when Dr. Anselm Victory Ojodomo, a highly regarded lecturer in the Department of Public Administration, collapsed and died mid-lecture.

The incident occurred around 10:00am as Dr. Ojodomo was addressing his students.

According to witnesses, he suddenly stopped speaking and slumped to the floor, throwing the classroom into immediate panic.

Despite the students’ desperate efforts to assist him and their urgent calls for the school’s medical personnel, Dr. Ojodomo was later confirmed dead at the hospital.

The loss is particularly heart-wrenching as he had successfully defended his PhD thesis just last month and was eagerly awaiting the formal conferment of his doctorate.
