President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, have joined millions in celebrating Pastor Enoch Adeboye at 84, calling the cleric a “spiritual pillar” and one of Nigeria’s “greatest gifts.”
Ahead of the General Overseer’s birthday on March 2, 2026, a State House release emphasized Adeboye’s enduring influence as a moral compass whose intercessions have helped shape the nation’s journey.
“Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), is one of our nation’s greatest gifts: a spiritual fortress, interceding for Nigeria and its people to God Almighty. His humility is genuine, and his wisdom runs deep beyond the ordinary.
“His contributions to our nation extend beyond the pulpit—where he ministers to souls—to philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment,” the statement obtained by Persecondnews said.
President Tinubu’s message celebrated Pastor Adeboye not just as a cleric, but as a catalyst for societal growth.
The statement credited the RCCG General Overseer with driving significant progress in philanthropy, education, and healthcare.
With a ministry spanning over 50 years, Adeboye was praised for teachings that have shaped values across international borders.
Tinubu specifically honored the cleric’s unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress, acknowledging his prayers and counsel during the nation’s critical turning points.
Alongside Pastor Foluke Adeboye and the Christian community, the First Family celebrated the cleric’s “exceptional life” of dedicated service.
“As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day, we pray that God Almighty continue to bless him with good health and strength as he continues his good work in the Lord’s vineyard,” the statement jointly signed by Tinubu and his wife said.
