A widespread technical failure struck Elon Musk’s social media site, X, on Monday, preventing countless users from logging in through either the app or the web version.

Once called Twitter, the service encountered loading issues for numerous individuals, with problems emerging in the morning hours.

Many encountered a stuck screen displaying only the X emblem, whereas others who got past that saw a notification reading, “Something went wrong. Try reloading.”

Up to now, X officials have remained silent on the root cause of the glitch or a timeline for fixing it.

Outage tracker Downdetector recorded a dramatic surge in user reports, pointing to a broad-scale problem.

Complaints poured in from various nations such as Canada, Australia, France, Indonesia, Ghana, Nigeria, and Germany.

Verification confirmed that the issue impacted both computer-based and smartphone access, blocking timeline updates, content sharing, and essential operations.

This Monday’s event adds to a growing list of reliability woes for the platform.

Back in November 2025, X along with Cloudflare suffered a major service interruption that hit users in places like the United States, India, and Nigeria.

During that episode, fundamental tasks like viewing feeds or uploading messages were similarly impaired.

Even with these repeated hiccups, X continues to rank among the top social networks globally.

Nevertheless, this recent interruption has sparked renewed worries for those depending on it for timely information, professional dealings, and instant interactions.
