Following a “life-changing spiritual breakthrough,” Nollywood star and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh publicly declared that she has successfully quit smoking after 27 years.

The actress made the revelation during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church, where she shared an emotional testimony of what she described as her deliverance from smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation, and prolonged anger issues.

A video of the testimony, which has since gained widespread attention online, was shared on YouTube by DCL Imagery.

Persecondnews reports that the testimony was delivered during the church’s new season of prophetic prayers and declarations service.

The service was led by the church’s founder and senior pastor, Jerry Eze, as congregants listened attentively to Dikeh’s candid account of her personal struggles and eventual transformation.

Speaking before the congregation, the actress disclosed that she began smoking at the age of 13 and remained addicted for nearly three decades, despite making several attempts over the years to stop.

She further revealed that she also battled masturbation for several years, alongside alcohol addiction, noting that these struggles took a toll on her emotional well-being and inner peace.

According to Dikeh, her freedom from smoking and masturbation did not come through personal discipline alone but through what she described as divine intervention and consistent prayers.

“I have quit smoking after 27 years, and I have stopped masturbation after several years,” the actress declared, drawing loud applause and emotional reactions from the congregation.

She advised people dealing with long-term addictions and personal battles not to lose hope, stressing that change is possible, no matter how long the struggle has lasted.
