The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) resumed the collation of results for the Anambra State governorship election after an earlier adjournment announced by the State Returning Officer, Prof. Edogah Omoregie.

The resumption saw the announcement of results from Anambra West and Ihiala Local Government Areas, which solidified Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of APGA’s significant lead.

Ultimately, Soludo cleared all 21 council areas.

In the final tally across all 21 LGAs, APGA secured 422,664 votes.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) trailed with 99,445 votes, followed by the Labour Party (LP) with 10,505 votes, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 1,401 votes.
