CAF Confirms Rabat as Host City for 2025 Awards Ceremony

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 2025 edition of the CAF Awards will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on November 19, 2025.

The event, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. local time, will honour Africa’s top footballers, coaches, clubs, and national teams for their outstanding performances over the past year.

Nigeria is well represented in the nominations, with several stars vying for major honors.

Persecondnews reports that Victor Osimhen, Stanley Nwabali, and Daniel Bameyi are among the Nigerian players nominated in the men’s categories.

Osimhen, the 2023 CAF African Player of the Year, is seeking to reclaim the top prize, while Nwabali and Bameyi are competing for Goalkeeper of the Year and Young Player of the Year, respectively.

In the women’s categories, Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, and Chiamaka Nnadozie are among the Nigerian players nominated.

Ajibade and Okoronkwo are contenders for the African Women’s Player of the Year award, while Nnadozie is seeking to retain her Goalkeeper of the Year title.
