Olorogun Oscar Ibru, Billionaire Chairman of Ibru Organisation, Dies at 67

Billionaire businessman Oscar Ibru, the eldest son of the late Michael Ibru and chairman of the renowned Ibru Organization, has passed away. He was 67.

A family source reported that Ibru died after a brief illness.

Born on August 11, 1958, Oscar Ibru was a well-known investor and philanthropist in Nigeria’s social circles.

He was married to Chief Wanda Ibru, with whom he had three children: Makashe Ibru-Awogboro, Chris Ibru, and Nenesi Ibru-Okeke.

Throughout his life, Ibru achieved several notable accomplishments, including being the first African Commodore of the Apapa Boat Club and being named the 2006 Maritime Personality of the Year.

In 2017, he was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Igbinedion University.

Persecondnews recalls that the late Ibru was also installed the Otunba Boyejo of Ijebu kingdom.
