The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has spoken of a personal prediction about his final moments on the earth.
While speaking to a large congregation during the evening session of the church’s ongoing 73rd Annual Convention on Thursday, he hinted of a peaceful departure on a Sunday after a church service.
According to the cleric, he will depart after a pounded yam meal.
Adeboye, an octogenarian, explained his vision: “It’s going to be on a Sunday. I would go to Church for service, dance very well and return home. I will eat pounded yam, then I will go.”
Persecondnews reports that Adeboye, however, didn’t provide a specific date but told his followers not to question how he knew.
The convention, titled “The Overcomers,” took place at the Redemption City of God and also included a series of prayers led by Adeboye on topics such as divine healing, prosperity, fruitfulness, and long life.
In his sermon, he urged his congregation to reject poverty, calling it a tool of the devil used to hinder the spread of the gospel.
He also cited Scriptures like 2 Corinthians 8:9 to support the idea that prosperity is a right for all Christians.
