Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola is currently mourning the loss of his beloved father, Pastor N.A Adekola, whose passing was announced earlier on Saturday, July 26.

The renowned Yoruba film star took to his social media page in the early hours of today share the sad news with fans and colleagues.

Sharing a photo of his late father, Odunlade penned a simple yet heartfelt tribute, wishing him a peaceful rest.

This announcement sparked an outpouring of sympathy from across the Nigerian entertainment industry, with colleagues, friends, and fans flocking to his comments to offer their condolences.

Veteran actor Saidi Balogun expressed his heartfelt sympathy, writing, “My condolences to the family, my brother. May his soul rest in glory.” Actress Kiki Bakre followed with a brief but warm message: “Accept my condolences.”

Other colleagues who joined in the outpouring of support include Sotayo Gaga, who wrote, “May his soul rest in peace. Sorry for your loss,” and Jayeola Monje, who added, “Good night, Daddy. May your soul rest in perfect peace of the Lord.”

Actress Olayinka Solomon also sympathized with the grieving actor, praying, “May his soul rest in eternal peace.” Actor Itele shared similar sentiments, writing, “May his soul rest in peace.”

Mustapha Sholagbade prayed for divine comfort, stating, “May heaven accept his return,” while comic actor Woli Agba remembered the late clergyman fondly, writing, “Ah! Grandpa. Rest on sir.”

Filmmaker Kunle Afod joined in, saying, “May his soul continue to rest in peace,” and actress Seyi Edun shared her condolences simply: “My condolences, sir.” Actress Ashabi added, “Chai, may your soul rest in peace, grandpa.”
