Brighton & Hove Albion has confirmed the signing of Chiamaka Nnadozie, Nigeria first choice goalkeeper on a free transfer from Paris FC.
Nnadozie, 24, will officially join the Women’s Super League side on July 1, bringing a wealth of experience to the team.
With 55 appearances for Nigeria since her senior debut in 2018, Nnadozie is no stranger to high-pressure matches.
She has showcased her skills in the Women’s Champions League, featuring in 16 European matches for Paris FC between 2022 and 2025.
Her impressive performance in the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine final, where she saved two penalties against Paris Saint-Germain, helped secure the title for her team.
Persecondnews reports that Nnadozie’s signing is expected to add depth and drive to Brighton’s squad, which is already full of ambition.
According to Brighton manager Dario Vidosic, “She’s a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line.”
Vidosic expressed confidence that Nnadozie will play a significant role in shaping the team’s future.
Nnadozie spent five years at her previous club Paris FC, helping the capital club win the Coupe de Feminine in her final appearance.
She has received numerous accolades, including the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season award in 2024, becoming the first African player to receive this honour.
