Controversial social media critic and influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), staged a protest on Monday at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister’s gate in Abuja.

The protest highlights the ongoing strike by primary school teachers in the FCT, which started on March 24, 2025.

Persecondnews recalls that the teachers have been on strike for more than 90 days, protesting the Area Council Chairmen’s failure to implement the new national minimum wage of N70,000 approved by President Bola Tinubu since 2024.

In a dramatic way, VDM gathered schoolchildren in uniform and held a class, teaching them the letters of the alphabet to emphasize the impact of the strike right at the minister’s office gate.

When approached by journalists for his comment, VDM declined to speak, insisting that the Minister’s gate would serve as the children’s new classroom.

As of the time of this report, the students were on a break, eating rice and chicken provided by VDM and his supporters.
