A 22-year-old man, believed to be a graduate of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), has died after falling from a top floor of the 26-story Cocoa House in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday.

The deceased was undergoing cybersecurity training at the facility when the incident occurred.

He was rushed to the Emergency Ward of the University College Hospital (UCH) following the fall but unfortunately did not survive.

A source described him as coming from a good home, humble, and respectful, noting that despite owning a car gifted by his parents, he carried himself modestly.

Until the tragic incident, the young man lived with his mother in the Meridian area of Apata, Ibadan, while his father is reportedly based in the United States.

Another source has accused the company of taking the man to UCH’s emergency ward even though he had already passed away.

Furthermore, the source claimed the company did not contact his mother; instead, a random person informed her.

When 32 FM, which operates within Cocoa House, attempted to take photos, they were reportedly prevented, and the man’s body was quickly covered.

The source also mentioned hearing that his body was severely disfigured.

There are indications that the deceased’s family is considering legal action against the company for alleged negligence.

Meanwhile, the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, has buried the remains of the deceased in Apata.
