Lagos socialite and businesswoman, Aisha Achimugu, who was arrested on Tuesday at the airport in Abuja, was on Wednesday brought before a Federal High Court in the FCT as ordered by the court.
The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrived at the court about 11:35 am with Achimugu sandwiched by two female EFCC officers.
Persecondnews reported that Justice Inyang Ekwo had, on Monday, ordered her to appear before him after she was said to have fled the country
Ekwo, who gave the order in a short ruling, also ordered the EFCC, upon the appearance of Achimugu at its office, to return with her to court on Wednesday for a report.
Achimugu was arrested by the EFCC’s operatives on her arrival from London at 5.05 am and was immediately taken into custody.
