Nigerian rapper Vector has voiced his concerns about the growing trend of tribalism in Nigeria, cautioning that its impact extends far beyond social media and into daily life.

In a post shared on his Twitter page Tuesday morning, the hip-hop star expressed dismay at how divisive tribal narratives are gaining traction to the detriment of those who are not even active on digital platforms.

“The tribalism arguments are filtering into the ears of so many people outside social media and they are using it to make life miserable for people who can’t or don’t use social media too well,” Vector wrote.

He also highlighted the plight of widows, stating that they too are suffering as a result of the deepening ethnic biases.

“The Widows are suffering from it too,” he added.

The rapper’s remarks come amid growing tensions fueled by tribal sentiments, especially in political and social discourse.

He criticized Nigerians for focusing on attacking each other rather than addressing systemic issues.

“You have (once again) left your collective oppressor and faced yourselves,” he concluded.

Vector, known for his socially conscious lyrics, has been vocal about governance, social justice, and unity in Nigeria.

His latest comments add to the ongoing debate on how tribalism continues to shape interactions and opportunities in the country.
