Flying Eagles Arrive in Abidjan for Friendly Matches Against Cote D’Ivoire

Nigeria’s U20 boys, the Flying Eagles, have arrived in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, ahead of two friendly matches against the Young Elephants.

The team, led by an NFF Executive member, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, landed in Abidjan on Tuesday morning.

Coach Aliyu Zubairu has selected a 21-man squad for the task, including team captain Daniel Bameyi, goalkeeper Ifeanyi Harcourt, and forwards Clinton Japhet and Olalekan Sulaiman Alabi.

The Flying Eagles will take on their Ivorian counterparts at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny in Abidjan, starting from 3.30pm CIV time (4.30pm Nigeria time) on Wednesday.

The two teams will again clash on Friday at the same venue, with the same kick-off time.

The friendly matches are part of the Flying Eagles’ preparations for upcoming competitions.

As seven-time African champions, the team is expected to put up a strong performance against their Ivorian counterparts.
