President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Saviour Enyiekere as the Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) for a five-year renewable term.
Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
Enyiekere, an environmental specialist, previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Senate President.
President Tinubu also approved the appointments of 12 commission members, two from each of the six geopolitical zones.
They are expected to serve a renewable five-year term.
The newly appointed NASC members are:
– North West: Mr. Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi and Mr. Yusuf A. Yusuf Tabuka
– North East: Mr. Aminu Ibrahim Malle and Alhaji Lawan Maina Mahmud
– North Central: Mr. Mark Hanmation Tersoo and Salihu Umar Agboola Balogun
– South West: Taiwo Olukemi Oluga and Hon. Afeez Ipeza-Balogun
– South East: Dr. Nnanna Uzor Kalu and Festus Ifesinachi Odii
– South South: Mr. Patrick A. Giwa and Mrs. Mary Ekpenyong
