Following his voluntary surrender to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Nigerian music sensation Habeeb Okikiola, famously known as Portable, was on Thursday arraigned at an Abeokuta High Court in Ogun State.

Persecondnews recalls that the musician was declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command last week for allegedly leading an attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during an enforcement exercise at his bar in the Sango Ota area on February 5, 2025.

During the altercation, the officials were injured, and although nine of Portable’s associates were apprehended, the singer managed to evade arrest until he voluntarily surrendered recently.

The Ogun State Government has strongly condemned Portable’s actions, labeling him a “serial dissident and unrepentant rascal,” while reaffirming its commitment to upholding the law and ensuring accountability for such behaviour.

Portable’s music career has been marred by numerous controversies, including high-profile feuds with fellow artists and accusations of violent conduct.

Portable gained prominence with his 2021 hit single “ZaZoo Zehh,” featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.
