Embattled Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned himself in to the Police.

Instead of reporting at Ogun Police Command, Portable, turned himself in to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba.

This development was confirmed by Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Wednesday.

“Portable just turned himself in at the SCID Yaba. We have contacted Ogun State Police Command to come pick him up,” Hundeyin said.

The singer has been in the news recently for various controversies, including his claim of undergoing psychiatric treatment in Ogun State.

Persecondnews recalls that after the Ogun command had declared him wanted following an attack on officials of the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Portable declared himself unwell undergoing psychiatric treatment in Ogun State.

The police, however, dismissed his statement, insisting that he remained wanted for an alleged crime

Portable and some thugs had pounced on the officials of the state government at his Odogwu Bar while conducting an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota.
