Governors Seyi Makinde (Oyo) Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Ademola Adeleke (Osun) have arrived in Lagos for a strategic meeting on issues affecting the region.

As of noon, all the governors have arrived at the “Lagos House,” Ikeja, venue of the meeting.

The Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum and Lagos Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu had welcomed his colleagues to the meeting, the first in 2025 and the second since Sanwo-Olu was appointed on June 10, 2024.

A statement by Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said: “The South-West Governors’ Forum will discuss issues of common interest, such as agriculture and food security, to advance economic growth, foster collaboration and enhance development initiatives in the Zone.

“Security of lives and property will also be part of the agenda.”

The governors are expected to brief the media at the end of the one-day meeting.

Persecondnews recalls that the late Ondo Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) was the last chairman of the forum.
