VP Shettima for World Economic Forum in Davos

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja to represent Nigeria at the 2025 annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

He will join world leaders, top business executives, and representatives of development partners to discuss the state of the world economy and explore ways to improve its conditions.

A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of The Vice President), Stanley Nkwocha said Shettima will participate in various events, including a workshop on “Roadmap to Co-create Investment Opportunities for Africa’s Frontier Markets” organized by the African Development Bank.

Shettima will also attend a dinner for heads of state, government, and international organizations, as well as co-chair a forum on “Turning Digital Trade into a Catalyst for Growth in Africa”.

The Vice President will also participate in a stakeholder dialogue entitled, “Global Risks 2025,” which will highlight the increasingly volatile global landscape and the need for collaborative action to address accelerating geopolitical, technological, and environmental challenges.

Shettima will be accompanied by top government functionaries, including Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, and Aisha Remi, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).
