Anambra Gov. Chukwuma Soludo has welcomed President Bola Tinubu to the Southeast region, commending his leadership style and commitment to fostering productive federal-state relations.
Persecondnews reports that Tinubu had arrived at Enugu’s Akanu Ibiam International Airport aboard a Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330 at about 1.22pm on Saturday for his official visit to Enugu State.
He was warmly welcomed by the host governor, Mr Peter Mbah, Imo Gov. Hope Uzodimma, his Abia counterpart, Dr. Alex Otti, and Anambra Deputy Governor, Dr. Gilbert Ibezim.
Other dignitaries included Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, oil magnate Arthur Ezeh, and several others.
Soludo’s statement comes as President Tinubu is set to inaugurate several developmental projects executed by Mbah’s administration.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, on Saturday in Awka, Soludo said Tinubu’s visit demonstrates the federal government’s attention to the South-East region’s development.
He praised the President’s gesture, stating that it underscores his commitment to advancing the interests of the region.
Soludo also congratulated Governor Mbah on his developmental strides, noting that they align with similar positive developments being implemented in Anambra State
“The President is in Enugu state to commission developmental projects completed under Gov. Peter Mbah’s administration.
“This gesture underscores his commitment to fostering productive federal-state relations while advancing the interests of the Southeast region.
“The visit to the Southeast also demonstrates the federal government’s attention to the south east region’s development,” it said.
The visit is seen as a significant gesture of cooperation between the federal government and the South-East region.
