The Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT FA) has initiated a comprehensive investigation into a serious incident that occurred during the recently concluded bye-election.

FA Chairman Adam Mohammed has, therefore, detected the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee to conduct a thorough inquiry, emphasizing the association’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and ethical standards.

Persecondnews reports that committee’s terms of reference include investigating the incident, assessing compliance with rules and regulations, recommending disciplinary actions, and providing guidance for future elections.

The committee is required to submit an interim report within 14 days and a final report within 30 days, including findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.

Mohammed stressed that the investigation is crucial for understanding what transpired and reinforcing accountability and fairness in FCT football governance.

He urged all parties to cooperate fully with the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, ensuring a thorough and impartial investigation.

The FCT FA Board will review the final report and take appropriate action to uphold justice and safeguard the association’s reputation.
