The ongoing 2nd Africa Military Games has witnessed thrilling performances in the golf competition, with South Africa and Nigeria emerging as the standout nations.

Persecondnews sports correspondent covering the games in Abuja, reports that in the men’s category, Team South Africa secured the top spot with an impressive 21 points, while Team Nigeria and Team Kenya followed closely to take the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

In the women’s category, Nigeria displayed exceptional form, securing the gold medal with a commanding 16 points.

Team Tanzania followed closely to take the silver, while Team South Africa rounded out the top three with a bronze medal finish.

The golf event demonstrated the athletes’ prowess and further highlighted the competitive spirit of the Africa Military Games.

Meanwhile, in an intense volleyball clash, Algeria triumphed over Kenya with a 3-1 set victory to secure the top spot in the standings.

Algeria dominated the first set with a commanding 25-14 win, but Kenya fought back fiercely, edging out Algeria 25-23 to level the match.

Algeria regained momentum with a convincing 25-15 performance in the third set and sealed the match with a 26-24 victory in the fourth set.

The victory cements Algeria’s position at the top of the men’s volleyball table, showcasing their skill, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament.

As the Africa Military Games continue, fans can expect more thrilling performances and intense competition from the participating teams.

The games serve as a platform for military personnel from across the continent to come together, promote unity, and showcase their athletic prowess.
