Africa Military Games: Nigeria’s Volleyball Team Dominates Burkina Faso

Nigeria’s men’s volleyball team on Wednesday secured a resounding 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-19) victory against Burkina Faso in their second match in the ongoing Africa Military Games (AMGA).

The win marks Nigeria’s second triumph at the tournament, and Captain Seyeifa Dikiyai, who was voted the most valuable player of the game, expressed his team’s determination to reach the top.

Head coach Solomon Zango was also thrilled with the team’s performance, praising their determination and teamwork.

“The team showed great determination and teamwork, executing our strategies well, especially in the first set,” Zango said.

He added: “The boys played with confidence, and we were able to maintain control throughout the match. We’ve been working hard on our attack, and it’s clear that the hard work is paying off.”

Zango also commended Captain Dikiyai’s outstanding performance, stating that the team supported him well.

“We need to keep this momentum going for the upcoming matches.

“It’s crucial that we stay focused and maintain this level of performance. With this win, Nigeria’s volleyball team has boosted their chances of advancing to the next stage of the competition,” he said.

In other matches, Ghana defeated Sierra Leone 3-0 (25-21, 25-9, 25-10), with Gyamerah Augustine being named the Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Meanwhile, Algeria triumphed over Kenya 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 25-15, 26-24), with Dour Djabir of Algeria earning the MVP accolade for his exceptional performance.

The Africa Military Games continue to provide thrilling matches, with teams competing fiercely for top honours.
