NAGAFF Taps NPA MD, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, as Keynote Speaker for Silver Jubilee Anniversary

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has announced Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), as the keynote speaker for its upcoming silver jubilee anniversary on November 16.

The national leadership of NAGAFF revealed this development during a courtesy visit to the NPA Headquarters in Lagos on Friday.

Dantsoho expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We have all it takes to make maritime the mainstay of the economy, and stakeholders like NAGAFF are key to our success”.

He emphasized the need to accelerate growth and expansion to keep pace with Nigeria’s rapidly growing population, highlighting the importance of collaboration with NAGAFF to surpass current performance trajectories.

As the newly appointed MD of NPA, Dr. Dantsoho has already outlined his vision for improving revenue generation and port efficiency.

His goals align with NAGAFF’s objectives, making this partnership a significant step towards enhancing the maritime industry’s contribution to Nigeria’s economy.

Dantsoho, appointed by President Bola Tinubu in July 2024, brings valuable experience to his role as NPA MD.

His priorities include repositioning the organization for increased productivity, greater efficiency, and improved revenue generation.

NAGAFF’s silver jubilee promises to be a milestone event, celebrating 25 years of the association’s contributions to Nigeria’s freight forwarding industry.

With Dr. Dantsoho’s keynote address, attendees can expect insightful discussions on the future of maritime trade and its impact on the national economy, a statement said.
