VeryDarkMan declines to address Reps, insists on Bobrisky’s presence

A social media influencer and blogger Mr. Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, declined to address the members of the House of Representatives during his appearance on Monday, citing Bobrisky’s absence.

VeryDarkMan, in a widely circulated video, said he declined to speak due to Bobrisky’s failure to appear in person but chose to send legal representation instead.

“If I say anything, let me die,” VeryDarkMan vowed, but he revealed how he got Bobrisky’s controversial phone recording.

He went ahead to submit part of the recording to the House of Representatives panel probing the allegations made against the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

The controversial influencer had, in viral videos, alleged that some officers of the EFCC collected N15 million from Bobrisky for the anti-graft agency to drop money laundering charges against him during his naira spraying ordeal in April this year.

VeryDarkMan also accused Bobrisky of evading proper imprisonment by paying a senior lawyer millions of naira, allowing him to spend his six-month sentence for naira abuse in a VIP facility.

The allegation prompted the Federal Government to suspend some senior officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service, while the anti-graft agency ordered an immediate investigation into the matter.

Persecondnews recalls that in a letter dated September 27, 2024, the Joint House Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions asked the EFCC Chairman and the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Correctional Service to appear before the Committees on Monday, September 30, 2024.
