Manchester United suffer humiliating 3-0 defeat to Tottenham at Old Trafford

1.1k

Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 thrashing of Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday deepened their problems, inciting fan outrage and reinvigorating calls for the manager’s resignation.

Bruno Fernandes’ straight red card in the first half compounded the Red Devils’ dismal performance, leaving the team trailing and struggling to recover.

Tottenham dominated the match from the outset, with Micky van de Ven’s impressive run setting up Brennan Johnson for a tap-in goal.

Despite Andre Onana’s valiant efforts in goal, United’s defence was breached again after the restart, with Dejan Kulusevski volleying in a second goal.

Dominic Solanke sealed the victory with a third goal later on.

The defeat marked Manchester United’s eighth loss in their last 20 Premier League home games, with the team struggling to find the back of the net at Old Trafford.

The only Premier League goal United has scored at home this season is Joshua Zirkzee’s against Fulham.

Fans took to social media to express their frustration and disappointment, with many calling for the manager’s dismissal.

@busbybulletin on X said: “Yet another embarrassing home defeat under this manager. The sooner he goes, the sooner we can move on with our season.”

@nanjalachebet on X wrote: “It seems like someone at Man United is sabotaging the team. Either the players aren’t giving it their all, or the manager’s tactics are completely off.”
