The Nigerian entertainment industry has come together to support one of its own, Bisola Badmus, who has been battling a brain tumor for three years.

In an emotional video shared with fellow actor Kunle Afod, Badmus opened up about her struggles with the life-threatening illness.

The outpouring of love and support was immediate, with fans and colleagues rallying around the ailing actress.

Kunle Afod’s fundraising efforts raked in an astonishing 1.3 million naira to support Badmus’s medical treatment.

Badmus’s journey with the brain tumor has been marked by immense challenges.

At one point, the tumor had affected her ability to recognize people or even speak.

“For the past three years, I have been battling a brain tumor. It got to a stage where I couldn’t say anything or recognise anyone,” she shared, her voice breaking with emotion.

Despite these terrifying symptoms, Badmus has been on medication and is slowly recovering.

“I have been using drugs, and I am getting better,” she added.

The actress attributed her brain tumor to excessive stress and emotional burden, reflecting on the deep challenges she has faced in recent years.

“What causes brain tumors is too much thinking,” she said.

Personal losses, such as the death of her mother in January last year and her brother two years earlier, have exacerbated Badmus’s struggles.

Her 40-day memorial ceremony for her mother was an emotional tribute to the tremendous pain she and her siblings endured.

In addition to her health battles, Badmus has also faced challenges in her personal life.

She has a son, whose father is believed to be renowned Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as K1 De Ultimate.

However, Badmus recently alleged that K1 had stopped taking care of their son.

K1 has maintained sealed lips regarding the allegations, sparking widespread concern and sympathy for Badmus and her child.

Fans and colleagues are now calling on K1 to take responsibility for his alleged child’s well-being.

Donations poured in through Kunle Afod’s fundraising efforts, with many colleagues and fans contributing to the 1.3 million naira raised.

The gesture is a testament to the impact of Badmus’s work and the love she has shared with her audience.

“We are with you, Bisola,” said Kunle Afod, echoing the sentiments of the entire entertainment industry. “You are not alone in this fight.”
