The Minister of Sports Development, Sen. John Enoh, has described the outing of Team Nigeria at the Olympics in France as disastrous.

Enoh, at a media parley held at the Nigerian Embassy in Paris on Friday, said the disastrous outing of Nigeria will be turned into huge positives after the games.

The comments of the Minister of Sports come after Nigeria’s medal drought continued with no hope of clinching a medal in sight as the global sporting fiesta winds down.

The Minister said: “How bad can it be? Our outing at the Olympics has been disastrous, but I assure you that assessment will be done, and we will definitely turn this bad situation into positives for the sporting sector.

“Since becoming Minister it has been back to back competition, I score myself above average in our outing at the games.”

We released funds on time; we increased grant at the games village to motivate our teams, athletes were paid in advance what else do you expect the ministry to do again? Persecondnews correspondent covering the games quotes Sen. Enoh as saying.
