Indomitable Spain won their fourth European Championship title after beating 2-1 England at the Olympiastadion Berlin on Sunday night.
The Spanish national team defeated the Three Lions of England to lift the Euro 2024 trophy.
Spain’s Mikel Oyarzabal 86th-minute goal secured the trophy for a record fourth time.
Nico Williams had earlier in the second half put Spain ahead in Berlin, Germany, before Cole Palmer levelled for England.
Meanwhile, Marc Guehi’s effort to equalise for the Three Lions in the last minute was frustrated by Dani Olmo, who finally sealed the trophy for the Spanish team.
They previously won in 1964, 2008, and 2012, the last two titles coming either side of their triumph at the 2010 World Cup during the golden era of Xavi Hernandez, Xabi Alonso, and Andres Iniesta.
With England’s failure to clinch the Euro 2024 cup, they set a record as the first side ever to lose back-to-back Euro finals after losing on penalties to Italy three years ago.
The English national team has yet to claim an international title since the 1966 World Cup victory.
