The Supreme Court has reserved judgment in the Federal Government’s suit against the 36 state governors on the autonomy of the 774 local government areas in the country.

The apex court disclosed on Thursday that its ruling would be delivered at a future date to be communicated to the stakeholders.

All the 36 states in the federation are defendants in the suit marked SC/CV/343/2024, Persecondnews recalls.

All the states, represented by their attorneys-general and lawyers, adopted their respective processes and prayed the court to dismiss the suit.
