President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Social Media, Mr. Dada Olusegun, has downplayed concerns about the president’s momentary loss of footing while boarding parade vehicle at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration in Abuja, dismissing it as a minor incident.

The aide explained on his X handle: “The President experienced a slight stumble while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration, but it was merely a minor slip-up. He promptly continued with the ceremonial proceedings, unfazed.”

Persecondnews recalls that Olusegun’s statement follows the emergence of videos depicting the president momentarily losing his balance while stepping into the vehicle, which had raised concerns among onlookers.

The president quickly steadied himself after the slight slip and seamlessly continued with the event, showing no signs of distress.

The event at Eagles Square served as the centrepiece of a nationwide series of festivities marking the country’s annual Democracy Day celebration and 25 years of unbroken democracy, with various events taking place across the nation.
