Breaking: Sirika, brother, pleads not guilty to alleged N19.4bln fraud

Former Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika, his brother, Ahmad Sirika, and a firm, Enginos Nigeria Limited, have been arraigned on a fresh 10-count charge of contract fraud.

The embattled ex-minister was arraigned before Justice Suleman Belgore of the FCT High Court sitting in Garki, Abuja, on Thursday.

In the new charge, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accused Sirika, his brother, and Enginos of a N19.4 billion airport contract fraud.

When the charge was read to the defendants, they all pleaded not guilty.

Sirika was arraigned alongside his brother, Ahmad Abubakar Sirika, and Enginos Nigeria Limited, a company owned by Abubakar, on a 10-count amended charge dated May 13 and filed on May 14, 2024.
