An officer of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken his own life at his residence in Abuja, the nation’s capital, Persecondnews reports.

The operative, a member of Course 5, committed suicide on Monday, according to the commission’s sources.

The operative, described as a diligent, efficient, and unassuming officer, has reportedly been having problems with his immediate boss, a woman.

Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the EFCC, Mr. Dele Oyewale, said an investigation is ongoing into why the operative decided to take his life.
