Renowned Nollywood actor Kanayo Kanayo has opened a new chapter in his career as he welcomes his son, Onyeze, into the captivating world of cinema.

Displaying a blend of paternal pride and professional ethos, Kanayo wows his crew by introducing his progeny, Onyeze, who stands poised to embark on a transformative journey within the realm of movie making.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the set, Kanayo Kanayo expressed his unwavering support for his son’s aspirations, marking a symbolic departure from the realms of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), which he studied at Babcock University, into the enchanting landscape of Nollywood, where creativity knows no bounds.

In a remarkable display of humility and commitment to craft, Kanayo Kanayo articulated that his son, despite his familial ties, would tread the path of apprenticeship, commencing his cinematic odyssey as an assistant production manager.

Emphasizing equality, Kanayo Kanayo ardently insisted that Onyeze be accorded no special privileges but rather be afforded the invaluable opportunity to absorb the intricacies of the filmmaking process organically, seamlessly assimilating into the dynamic tapestry of the film set.

“This is my first son, and I am introducing him to you so that you can know him and help him grow and learn. I don’t want him to be treated in a special way because he’s my son. I want him to learn and grow like every one of you.

“He has just graduated from Babcock University, and he’s going to function as the assistant production manager and rise through the ranks.

‘He’s my son, but he should be made to understand the job and learn it professionally,” he added.
