Following the dissolution of his marriage, Israel DMW, the logistics manager for renowned music sensation Davido, has shared his advice regarding marriage.

In a statement released on his Instagram story on Friday, Israel reflected on the role of beauty versus character in relationships.

Reflecting on his personal experience, Israel’s counsel touched on the reality that while physical beauty often propels individuals into marriage, it is the essence of character that sustains and defines these unions.

Implicitly suggesting a correlation between outward appearance and inner qualities, Israel cautioned against prioritising aesthetics over substance.

Israel, having exchanged vows with his ex wife, Sheila, in a lavish ceremony in Benin City, Edo State, in October 2022, tragically ended the union within a year, reportedly due to issues of domestic violence.

“Beauty has sent a lot of girls into marriage. But the character is busy. Returning them back to their father’s house,” he lamented.

The dissolution of their marriage became public knowledge when Sheila publicly rebuked Israel’s boss, Davido, for sharing a photo of them from their traditional marriage, vehemently denying her status as his wife.

Trouble started when Israel’s wife claimed that his husband took sides with Davido against her in a series of online posts that lingered for weeks between the ex-couple.

Israel, in subsequent statements, countered Sheila’s allegations, maintaining his innocence regarding the accusations of assault.

He recounted the trajectory of their relationship, highlighting the initial moments of affection and generosity that eventually gave way to irreconcilable differences.
