Landmark Resort Beach’s management has initiated the refund process for customers affected by the recent demolition of portions of its properties by the Federal Government.
According to a statement posted on its X handle on Friday by Landmark Africa, the parent company of Landmark Resort Beach, refunds are being facilitated through the Landmark Citizen App.
The management warned that the high volume of requests could delay the completion of the refund process.
The statement reads: “Dear Landmark Citizens, we would like to assure you all that we have started issuing refunds to those who requested a refund of their money on the Landmark Citizen App.
“Please be patient with us; due to the volume of requests, this process will take some time. Be rest assured that all refund requests will be processed.”
Persecondnews recalls that the federal government commenced demolition of structures on the right-of-way of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road project.
The coastal road passes through Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom on its route from Lagos to Cross River.
On Saturday, April 27, the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, flagged off the demolition exercise at the Mani Chula Beach, Oniru Waterfront, a section of the Landmark Beach.
He indicated that owners of affected structures along the coastal highway would receive compensation, stating that the beach was within the coastal corridor and legitimately in the federal government’s right-of-way.
