A former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, was on Friday in Lagos granted bail in the sum of N50 million.
Emefiele, who was remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) last week, was admitted to bail with two sureties in like sum.
Persecondnews reports that Justice Rahmon Oshodi of a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja gave the ruling on Emefiele’s bail application on Friday.
He is facing a fresh 26-count charge bordering on alleged abuse of office and irregular allocation of $4.5 billion and N2.8 billion, respectively.
