Dangote Refinery supplies diesel, aviation fuel to marketers, crashes diesel price by 20.6%

But the price of diesel has started dropping as Dangote Refinery pegged its price at N1,225 per litre.

The Dangote Refinery has started supplying marketers with diesel (automotive gas oil), crashing the price by 20.6 percent to N1,350 per litre.

It has also started producing aviation fuel (Jet A1).

Inflation and the foreign exchange crisis had pushed the price of the product to about N1,700 per litre in most parts of the nation, including Lagos and Abuja, as the product is being sourced from the global market was the main source of imports.

But the price of diesel has started dropping as Dangote Refinery pegged its price at N1,225 per litre.

According to the marketers, they are now buying diesel and aviation fuel from Dangote Refinery.

Mr. Clement Isong, the CEO of the Major Energy Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN), said oil marketers have started to lift diesel and aviation fuel from the $20 billion Dangote Refinery.

He said: “Our members have started lifting diesel and aviation fuel from the Dangote Refinery. It is a good development that will impact the domestic market.”
