Amid mounting tension, Afrobeat sensation, Davido, has maintained silence following a detailed petition lodged against him by prominent singer, Tiwa Savage.

Persecondnews reported that the petitioner had accused Davido of both offline and online harassment, including alleged physical threats, stemming from Savage’s ongoing connection with Sophia Momodu, with whom Davido shares an eight-year-old daughter.

Adding to the complexity, Savage’s ex-husband, Teebillz, also issued a stern warning to Davido, cautioning him to steer clear of his family and vowing to take decisive action if the singer persists in his alleged misconduct.

Despite the escalating conflict, Davido seems undeterred, putting his focus on winning Grammy Awards in February and unveiling a new musical creation.

However, recent reports obtained by Per Second News revealed that Davido’s legal representatives have initiated contact with Tiwa Savage’s team, suggesting a potential attempt to resolve the matter behind closed doors.

As the news unfolds, sources disclosed that the Lagos State Police have acknowledged the receipt of Tiwa Savage’s petition, assuring a thorough examination of the case.

It was gathered that there is a possibility that Davido may be summoned for questioning if deemed necessary by law enforcement and if both parties could not resolve the matter amicably.

However, in response to the brewing controversy, Davido has reportedly instructed his team to refrain from engaging in public discourse on the matter, emphasising the importance of allowing the security agencies to conduct a proper investigation.

Amidst the storm, the ‘AWAY’ artiste remained fixated on the upcoming Grammy Awards, seemingly determined to keep his eyes on the prize in anticipation of the prestigious event in February.
