Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday stormed the corporate Head Office of the Dangote Group at Falomo, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The anti-graft agency’s operatives reportedly ransacked the offices in search of foreign exchange allocations to the company during the tenure of Mr Godwin Emefiele as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Persecondnews reports.

Contacted on the operation, the EFCC spokesman, Mr Dele Oyewale, however declined comments.

But an employee confirmed that EFCC operatives were at the company’s head office on Thursday.

“They asked for documents on forex transactions with the CBN.”
