Family of ailing Nigerian actor, Mr. Ibu, has clarified that only one of his legs, not both, underwent amputation.
This clarification comes amidst rumours circulating on social media suggesting a double amputation, setting the record straight on the extent of the actor’s recent medical procedures.
Contrary to speculations regarding the cause of Mr. Ibu’s health challenges, the family revealed that diabetes was not the underlying factor.
Instead, they disclosed that he has been grappling with constant blood clotting in his leg, stemming from diseased blood vessels and other critical health issues.
The family further stated that based on medical advice, Mr. Ibu has been deemed “Not Fit to Fly” by doctors.
This classification has impacted the family’s decision to keep him in Nigeria for treatment as international travel for advanced medical care has been rendered challenging due to airline restrictions.
They noted that “as of now, Mr. Ibu is undergoing treatment at one of Nigeria’s premier hospitals, where he is attended to by a team of highly skilled medical professionals.”
The family appealed to friends, colleagues, fans, and the public to keep Mr. Ibu in their thoughts and prayers during his recovery.
