The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ọjájá II, on Thursday played host to the cast of the widely acclaimed reality show, “Real Housewives of Lagos”.
In a video shared on Instagram, prominent cast members including Iyabo Ojo, Chioma Ikokwu, and Tania Omotayo were seen engaging with the monarch in his palace.
The visit took an intriguing turn as the Ooni delved into a discussion about witchcraft with his guests.
During the interaction, Oba Ogunwusi asserted that every woman inherently possesses a spirit of witchcraft, emphasising that this quality is essentially about manipulation.
He enlightened the guests, stating, “If you know how to manipulate very well. And that’s the power of a woman. You have a natural manipulative spirit and you should manipulate in a very positive way.”
Upon the Real Housewives of Lagos cast’s arrival, Ooni’s queen, Aderonke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi, extended a warm welcome and provided guidance on proper etiquette when addressing the revered king within the palace premises.
In response to the revelation by Ooni, Iyabo Ojo sought clarification, questioning whether the king meant that all women were witches.
The Ooni affirmed this but swiftly added a nuanced perspective, labeling them as “good witches.”
