A fresh twist has emerged in the burial arrangements of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.

Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Olumiyi, has come forward with a distressing revelation, alleging that the singer’s father is refusing to release his body for reburial after the completion of the autopsy.

Olumiyi, speaking in a viral video shared on Tuesday and obtained by Per Second News, made a heartfelt plea in Yoruba, calling on Nigerians to lend their support in facilitating the proper burial of her son.

Despite the autopsy’s conclusion and the release of MohBad’s body, she expressed the challenges she faced in securing his final resting place.

In her emotional appeal, Olumiyi shared the difficulties encountered with the Commissioner of Police, who reportedly insulted her for the delay in burying her son.

Notably, she reached out to President Bola Tinubu, seeking his intervention to ensure a peaceful resting place for MohBad.

In a poignant plea, she clarified that her request is solely focused on giving her son a dignified burial, rather than seeking financial assistance.

The singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, had previously issued a warning that no one should proceed with the burial without his approval, asserting his continued paternal authority even in death.

The Lagos State Police Command has said it has yet to receive the autopsy report, adding another layer of complexity to the situation.

MohBad’s death on September 12 sparked national and international controversies, leading to a police investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding his sudden demise.
