Bayelsa poll results: INEC adjourns collation until noon on Monday

The Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity of the commission in Bayelsa State, Mr Wilfred Ifogah, announced the postponement after the session was reconvened on Sunday evening.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Bayelsa State has fixed Monday November 13 to announce the results of Saturday’s governorship election when the results of the remaining two local government areas will be collated at noon.

The two local government areas are Brass and Southern Ijaw out of the 10.

The Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity of the commission in Bayelsa State, Mr Wilfred Ifogah, announced the postponement after the session was reconvened on Sunday evening.

According to him, there are challenges in a coalition of some units and wards results in the two local government areas.

Of the eight council areas, the results of six have been announced with PDP winning five while the APC won only one.
